Chapter 2 : Getting the Students to Do the Work.
At any given point whereby students’ gets new information, their
brains connects faster to the new neurons produced. In this chapter, the author explains that students should do a lot of work in order to learn. On the other hand, students do not tend to work harder. This is because they are used to their old system when they were in their 12th grade and thought that
this will be the same in all the colleges.
The importance of this chapter is directed to students to do
more work by themselves. The instructor can make the students do the work
through cumulative testing, establishing a wiki site, rewriting papers,
retesting practice quizzes and mapping. These are some of the examples the
